It has become a recent habit of mine to get a photo, of every bass I catch when I’m out fishing. Since I’ve always been a catch and release fisherman, it nice to have something to remember the day by, and to be able to go back and look at during these cold winter months. However, I think the real reason behind this habit, goes back to a faithful night out on a small pond in NYC. As long as I can remember me and my buddies have loved getting away to throw some cast, whenever possible. Us being who we are and fishing being what it is there is a friendly level of completion involved when we get on the water. This one night on the pond I land a monster bass, one of the best I’ve seen come out of that pond. This was before the days of cellphones with cameras on them, so we carried disposable cameras in our bags. That night as I lipped my PB at the time, my buddy pulled out the disposable camera, wound it up and snapped the picture, or so i thought. To this day I have never seen the picture of me with that fish. Did the photo place lose the picture, did it not get on the camera, or perhaps did something more sinister happen to this photo? We will never know, but now I make sure I get confirmation of my catches before I toss em back. Has this ever happened to any of you guys? And do you like myself never get enough of busting on your buddy that supposedly took the photo? I know i don’t. Have a good one guys, looking forward to next spring.

Never happened to me, sounds like a made up story to be honest.
